Hey,

Thanks for the script. I believe I have found an interesting application of this script. It's a contact form with dynamic text input. I found it on www.flashxml.net/contact-form.html
It has a lot of customizable properties, tons of things you can add via the XML files that drive it and works just super in Flash and in normal HTML websites. I believe that most scripts should have at least one example of a practical application, and this is the best I have found.

i've added tlfTxt.columnCount = 2; to the example above, and all the text flows into the 1st column but not the second.

Any ideas on what AS needs to get text into 2 columns?

cheers
Alex

grrrr...
All the examples in adobe help me do not work.
I create a class in your main / mTxt.as

package main{
	import flash.display.Sprite;
	import flash.text.TextField;
	import flash.text.TextFieldAutoSize;

	public class mTxt extends Sprite {
 public function mStr(str:String, mLn:Boolean=true, met:String="info", fSz:Number=10, fNm:String="Tahoma") {
 var my_text:TextField = new TextField();
 my_text.x=10;
 my_text.y=10;

 my_text.text=str;
 my_text.width=my_text.textWidth+5;
 my_text.height=my_text.textHeight+5;

 switch (met) {
 case "error" :
 my_text.appendText("met=error");
 break;
 case "opis" :
 my_text.appendText("met=opis");
 break;
 default :
 my_text.appendText("met=info");
 break;
 }
 my_text.appendText("str="+str);
 my_text.appendText("mLn="+mLn);
 my_text.appendText("fSz="+fSz);
 my_text.appendText("fNm="+fNm);
 my_text.width=my_text.textWidth+5;
 my_text.height=my_text.textHeight+5;

 this.addChild(my_text);
 }
	}
}

Import the file inside the fla

import main.*;

var mInfo:main.mTxt=new main.mTxt;
mInfo.mStr("Jakiś tekst", false, "ddd");

Nothing is happening. Maybe someone knows what is wrong.
